Platelet-rich plasma: your own biology, concentrated

Topical PRP with microneedling for overall rejuvenation, or injectable PRP for targeted concerns.

Platelet-rich plasma uses your body's own healing machinery. A small amount of blood is drawn, processed to concentrate the platelets, and then applied or injected where regeneration is needed. Because it comes from you, the risk of allergy or sensitivity is very low.

Pulse offers PRP two ways, and the distinction matters: topical PRP paired with SkinPen microneedling or NOUVADerm laser treats the skin more broadly, while injectable PRP places concentrated growth factors precisely where a deeper problem sits.

Topical PRP skin rejuvenation

Topical PRP can pair with SkinPen microneedling or NOUVADerm fractional laser, applying your own concentrated growth factors across the treated skin.

It is the right choice for overall skin texture, fine lines, pore size, hyperpigmentation and an all-over glow: total facial rejuvenation with minimal downtime. Ask about treatment packages for optimal results.

Injectable PRP skin rejuvenation

Injectable PRP delivers concentrated growth factors exactly where they are needed, at a deeper level than topical application reaches. It is used for under-eye hollows, deep wrinkles and stubborn older scars.

By stimulating tissue repair and regeneration at depth, injectable PRP addresses problems that surface treatment cannot. Our nurse practitioners customise each treatment around your specific concerns, whether the goal is rejuvenation or scar improvement.

How PRP works

Platelets are the cells your body dispatches to any site of injury. Concentrated and reintroduced, they signal repair: growth factors recruit cells, stimulate new collagen and elastin, and accelerate the production of hyaluronic acid.

This is regenerative medicine in the literal sense: the treatment does not add a foreign material, it amplifies a process your tissue already knows how to run. When used with microneedling, the micro-channels created by the needles let PRP reach the dermal layers where remodelling happens.

Choosing between the two

If the complaint is 'my skin overall': dullness, texture, pores, early lines: topical PRP with microneedling is usually the better value.

If the complaint is a specific location: hollow under-eyes, one deep fold, a scar that has not changed in years: injectable PRP is the one that reaches it. Many patients end up doing both across a treatment plan.

Common questions

Is PRP the same as the 'vampire facial'?
That nickname refers to PRP used on the face, typically with microneedling. It is the same underlying treatment.
Is there an allergy risk?
Because PRP is derived from your own blood, the risk of allergy or sensitivity is very low.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the concern and whether treatment is topical or injectable. Ask about packages: your provider will plan the series at consultation.
