Dermal fillers: restoring structure, not adding volume for its own sake

Juvéderm, Evolysse and Cellenis Derma PRP Bio-Filler, with treatment quoted per syringe.

A nurse practitioner assessing facial structure before dermal filler treatment at Pulse Health & Wellness

Aging in the face is mostly a structural story. Fat pads deflate, bone remodels, and the soft tissue that used to sit high begins to fold and descend. Filler is how that structure gets restored: placed where the loss actually happened, which is frequently not where the line appears.

Fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin. At Pulse they are used to soften fine lines and wrinkles, add fullness to the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline and temples, fill scars and skin depressions, address early signs of aging, and rejuvenate the face overall.

Prices are quoted per syringe. Total cost depends on the volume actually used, and you will know that number before treatment starts.

Products we use

Juvéderm®
A family of hyaluronic acid fillers, including Ultra, Voluma, Vollure and Volbella as appropriate, used to restore structure and volume across the lips, cheeks, chin and jawline.
Evolysse™
A hyaluronic acid filler option selected according to the treatment area, desired movement and your individual anatomy.
Cellenis Derma PRP Bio-Filler
A regenerative bio-filler prepared from your own blood and used when an autologous treatment option fits the plan.
Volbella®
A Juvéderm family product, FDA-approved to increase lip fullness and soften 'smoker's lines' around the mouth. It can also be used for pitted acne scarring and under-eye hollows. Volbella blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, creating subtle volume that can last up to a year.
Vollure®
A Juvéderm family product used for moderate facial wrinkles and folds, formulated to hold correction while staying flexible with facial movement.

Treatment areas

Lips
One of the most requested areas. Adding fullness, height or definition can enhance the lip and create a more youthful appearance: volume loss in the lips is a very common sign of aging in men and women alike.
Cheeks
The cheeks are the scaffolding of the face. Volume loss in the cheek fat pads is one of the major reasons marionette lines, nasolabial folds, jowls and under-eye shadows appear. Correcting that loss restores a more youthful appearance across all of those areas at once.
Chin
Chin filler balances facial proportion and helps with jowling and jawline definition. It requires product placed across several planes and areas, and generally takes two syringes to create a balanced result.

How we plan a filler treatment

Consultation starts with what bothers you, then works backwards to the cause. Frequently the fix is not where the complaint is: a marionette line often improves more from cheek support than from filling the line itself.

Your provider will map a sequence: what to treat now, what can wait, and where the budget goes furthest. If we think you would get more from a neuromodulator, from skin quality work, or from doing nothing yet, we will say so.

Filler and neuromodulators together

Filler and Botox or Jeuveau solve different problems. Neuromodulators stop muscles from pulling; filler replaces lost structure. Many treatment plans use both: for example, a lip flip to show more lip before committing to lip filler, or DAO treatment alongside chin filler to address a downturned mouth from both directions.

Common questions

How long does filler last?
It depends on the product and area. Volbella, for example, can create subtle lip volume lasting up to a year. Your provider will give you a realistic range for your specific plan.
Will it look obvious?
Not if it is planned in proportion. Most 'obvious' filler is volume placed where structure was never lost. We plan conservatively and stage treatment over time.
Can I combine filler with other treatments?
Yes. Filler is frequently combined with neuromodulators, and with skin quality treatments such as microneedling, PRP or NOUVADerm.
