Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Testosterone replacement therapy, also known as TRT, is an important type of treatment to replenish hormone levels that are diminished due to age and other conditions. Having adequate hormone levels is vital to feeling and looking healthy.

When you might need TRT
When a man is suffering from low testosterone, the body goes through tremendous changes, including:
-
Decreased energy and increased fatigue beyond what is normal for your age or lifestyle
-
Metabolism fluctuations, which can cause you to gain fatty weight and lose muscle mass
-
Sleep disturbances, which can make it difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep
-
Waking often to urinate during the night
-
Memory problems, resulting in a decreased performance at work, problems with focus, and other issues
-
Mood fluctuations, leading to an inability to deal with stress, emotional outbursts, and other changes
-
Lower sex drive, which can lead to relationship problems and loss of self-esteem and self-confidence
-
Low motivation
-
Decreased endurance and slower recovery time with physical activity
-
Loss of collagen and elasticity, which can make your skin look older, cause sagging, and other changes

What to expect at your TRT appointment
At Pulse Health & Wellness, we always check your hormone levels first to determine the level of hormone replacement therapy you need, or if you even require it at all. We don't want you to pay for a HRT visit if you don't need the treatment!
At every HRT appointment we discuss your symptoms and how you are responding to your treatment. We may make adjustments to your medication dosages at these appointments based on symptoms, but we also get follow-up blood work every 3 months to make sure you are being treated in an appropriate and a safe manner. We will also make any necessary adjustments to your medications based on these lab results to keep you at optimal hormone levels as well as keeping your hormones balanced so you can feel your best!
